Main Components of Perfume

1. Top Notes: The initial scent that you smell immediately upon application. These are usually light and evaporate quickly (e.g., citrus, herbs).

2. Middle Notes (Heart Notes): Emerge after the top notes fade, forming the main body of the perfume (e.g., floral, spice).

3. Base Notes: Appear after the perfume dries down, providing depth and longevity (e.g., wood, musk, vanilla).

Types of Perfume Concentrations

• Perfume (Extract): Highest concentration (20–30%), very long-lasting.

• eau de Perfume (EDP): Strong concentration (15–20%), lasts 6–8 hours.
